 The old masters of Vovinam, experienced in real combat, knew that after the work of Vat (hand-to-hand fighting) the second most important topic for a fighter are counterattacks against punches. In this new DVD of the series, which was filmed in Vietnamwith the help of Master Van Vang, Patrick levet presents the counterattack techniques, against Phan Don Tay punches and against kicking Phan Don Chan kicks, as well as the 2 Quyen (forms) which include them: Tu Tru Quyen and Vien Phuong Quyen. These techniques, structured according to seven difficulty levels, allow the practitioner to choose the most appropriate forms of defence in accordance with his physical constitution or his skills.

   This third DVD, recorded entirely in Vietnam by Master Patrick Levet along with the Grand Master Van Vang , the highest active technical authority within professional Vovinam worldwide, centers around the techniques with the wooden ruler Moc Ban and the Vietnamese fighting vat. Combining simplicity, effectiveness, flexibility, and toughness, and without ceasing to be a simple piece of wood, the Moc Ban is a fantastic weapon with which we are able to defend ourselves facing swords, sticks or knives. We will study its handling, the guards, the 12 basic techniques of Moc Ban, the 10 first techniques of the 28 that make up the Vietnamese fighting system Vat, and finally, Nhu Khi Cong Quyen, a way of training with simple energetic breathing exercises.
